Student Support Team

CBS Westland Row has a strong and varied support system that caters for the learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs of students.

Each and every individual staff member plays an important role in the support of students while the Student Support Team has the responsibility of co-ordinating the wide range of supports available to students within and outside the school.

The Student Support Team is made of:

The Principal                                       Ms Kate Byrne

The Deputy Principal                           Ms Caitriona O'Sullivan

School Counsellor                               Mr John Davis

Home School Liaison Officer               Ms Betty Stapleton

Special Education Teacher                  Ms Rosemary Morrisey

School Completion Officer                  Ms Julie O'Hagan

The Student Support Team meets on a regular basis and reviews the student body based on information given to them from a number of sources. We have developed a broad range of services and agencies which provide targeted and appropriate support to the students.  Clear and easily accessed referral procedures are there to help both students and parents.

The support and wellbeing of our students is our principle priority.  We strive to ensure that the individual student is taken care of the best of our ability. Working with parents, staff and relevant agencies we guarantee that your child will receive every support possible enabling them to cope with and overcome the challenges they face at second level.

We hope that you will trust us in the role of supporting your child through this phase of their education.
